Blessed are the Peacemakers

Blessed are the Peacemakers

There is a conflict today within our society that is plain to see. A conflict between right and evil. A conflict between moral and immoral and a lack of commitment to enforce the biblically sound principles we have all be raised with when we were young. This leads us to believe that this conflict was created by men who defied the morality of God and His works. Now, as believers, we must believe that some of us are called upon to respond to this conflict and do so in a way different than ever before.
Thus God called on his people and created two armies of men and women he called the peacemakers and the peacekeepers. Strangely, this a paradoxical world we live in as we respond to God’s love knowing that we commit ourselves to the death of others. As we glorify God, we dwell in the house of His power, praise and rejoice that the Lord may bring us success and at the same time, offer us forgiveness what we are about to do. As we stare into the ‘eyes of faith,’ we obey his commands and maintain a loving merciful demeanor to show we are still God’s children.
So as soldiers in God’s Army we become the peacekeepers to protect the peacemakers. With God’s mercy, we take the responsibility for our own contribution as a united force member in the manner we confront this conflict before us. Confessing our sins along the way, we ask for forgiveness of what is about to be done. Let Him give us the power to restore the peace and repair any harm that we may have caused along the way. Let God give us the wisdom to do what is right in the manner the sword is drawn and how it is used.
As a soldier, we are told to ‘take the log out of our eyes’ and focus on the ‘eyes of faith.’ We cannot pretend this conflict does not exist and as they do the evil things behind our backs, we shall not overlook those offenses that speak against God. This conflict is too serious to ignore or forget about as we labor hard to restore rather than condemn them.
As peacekeepers, let us become reconciled and an Army of one. Let us pursue genuine peace and reconciliation rather than war and hate. For God’s sake, let us have the power to seek out the wrong and restore the mutually beneficial solutions to our differences and make the world whole again. Let us be the force that keeps our morality together and form a stronger bond with God than ever before.
As a peacekeeper, ask for forgiveness; promise not to dwell on this conflict and use it against others as redemption is in the hands of our Lord, our Father and does not talk about this matter in a manner where it stands between us rather than uniting us as doing so may hinder our relationship with each other and that with God.  As we pray lead us to the gospel and leadership. Give us the truth of the peacekeeping theology and give us the strength to endure and win this struggle between good and evil. Together, as peacemakers and peacekeepers we shall dwell in the House of God and fear no evil for thou walks right beside us and protect us from Hell.
