Correctional Officers - How to Use Your Dark Side for Good

The dark world you chose to work in is just not plain black and white. Reality tells you it just doesn’t work that way and when you realize that the rules you work with fail you in certain predicaments you and you need to know how to get in touch with you dark side so you can do the right things for the right reasons using a little bit of bad for some good.

The first rule you learn is to learn everything you can about the enemy. Using your senses to profile jerks gives you good tools to work with when the time comes. Knowing your enemy is one of the best ways to keep yourself safe from harm in this evil world. Dealing with misconduct that is in plain sight, you quickly learn that some people will do bad things for bad reasons. The secret to dealing with bad people is to know more about their modus operandi and recognize what is happening so you can protect yourself and make better decisions or choices to minimize their evil effects.

Good victims make good targets. You have to know how to make yourself a bad victim and bad target so the enemy won’t mark you and look the other way to find a good victim. Counteracting their behaviors can sometimes be useful in understanding the problem or the person. You might have to temporarily steal someone’s identity and become the same persona you are facing. Using your dark side will enable you to transform into this personality and give you the edge in dealing with any of these problems.

There are tricks to learn to behave differently. Understanding how a predator works is one way, another way is to learn about your environment and consider how you can counteract them making you more evil than your enemy as the more evil tactics you learn, the better you’ve prepared yourself if someone tries them on you.

Remember your enemy is a natural born jerk or a natural evil human being. They are master manipulators and try to plant ideas inside your head without you ever realizing it. They will try to control you if you let them in. they will twist situations so it is always your fault, convince you to do what they want you to do and use pity to be either left alone or given the attention they want for a certain situation so they can shift your attention away from your job and on them.

Recognizing these tactics is good cause to turn to your dark side and counteract them with you own spell of evil. You will need to use their energy to convert your energy to fight them. Once they see how you reacted they are unwilling to follow or complete their evil path as they become a bit concerned and troubled and will likely leave you alone and spend the time looking for another victim that is more easily manipulated and conformed to their way of thinking.

The object is to shut them down or get them the hell as far away from you as possible. There is caution in the wind with these natural born killers as they are the type of people that don’t know they are evil because the behaviors comes so naturally and they are best avoided at all costs. This is one situation where your dark side must take total control and do what is necessary to counteract evil. Evil will always exist in the world, and sometimes that's a good thing, but when it causes harm to others it’s important to remember to forgive.

Everyone makes mistakes. This makes the case that sometimes it is good to be bad. In many ways we are agents of vigilante justice as it is part of our culture. Not following the rules because of dissatisfaction is not always justifiable but the sentiment or manifest can be a good thing at the time of the need to be bad. Sometimes the rules screw us, and we want to fight back. How we choose to do it isn't an easy question to answer, but sometimes doing the right thing can look a little bit more like the wrong one.

When the rules don't necessarily make sense, it may make more sense to break them. When you're trying to get your point across and polite conversation just isn't doing the trick, a little evil can be warranted. An occasional kick in the butt to get the point and start treating people with respect—or at least to understand their current behavior won't be tolerated.

The idea isn't to get revenge for your own benefit, but rather to demonstrate why their behavior is bad. Sometimes the fact that you show your own intolerance to a situation and willing to initiate a confrontation  is the key, and other times you may need to simply mirror what the jerk is doing so he understand what it feels like.

To My Friends -

To my friends – yes it’s true I have the urge to speak and speak loud. Dealing with the pressures within me and communicating with others has created a need to communicate and say what’s on my mind. Is it a little more expressive than before? Yes. It is. The challenge has been how to channel my thoughts constructively and truthfully.

I have been dealing with things in the background that make me sick because of the nasty things I have been learning about recent events and the deception behind these attempts to not reveal the true nature of the problem. People are getting hurt and hurt badly. Should I say what’s on my mind? Not likely, criticism and being politically correct usually demands you leave things best unsaid.

However, I am not worried about criticism and not politically correct – I don’t gossip and go around rumors the best I can. I don’t always express myself elegantly or eloquently. That’s for those that know the language better than I do. I basically tell it like it is and let you make up your own minds.

What is the plan you ask? The plan is simple – I will continue to criticize and report to lawmakers, media and other sources the problems that exist and that makes working inside these Arizona prisons unsafe. In the past I did this effectively with others that joined the cause to make things safer and it worked for a while as time took its toll on the memories of those involved in the change. The OSHA project was a successful event and brought things back into compliance for a short while.

I want to draw the ADOC into a smart reaction – I want them to step out of their circle of denial and combine an action plan to make things safe again. I want them to be proactive and not reactive in their decision making. These wrong reactions can be disastrous and some of that is currently showing up in Lewis. How we get this done is important and we need press coverage. However, I can’t get anyone to speak up or out for fear of repercussions or other negative disciplinary actions pending.

I don’t want to take anyone down. I don’t want anyone’s job. I want to exercise my right to free speech and criticize what I know to be legitimate problems and concerns. The election is near – there will be campaigning and I would want a chance to talk to all the candidates for governor – this is how change is made. I have to think how to approach this from a position of credibility, strength, and be unapologetic in nature for the recent ADOC’s stupidity in the execution of their policies.

I can’t be bought or brought into silence and neither should you. We could face the issues and concerns together or I can try to do this alone. Needless to say, the more who choose to stand united, the stronger the criticism and the more coverage we get to express our concerns to the public, the lawmakers and the administration.

How to Spin the Truth

Whenever someone holding a public office spins the truth you can be guaranteed is it politically motivated. Spinning the truth is an art form of deception. Deception is often difficult to recognize unless you have the access to the same information that is spun for the benefit of downplaying the incident or subtly put it into a new perspective to suit selfish needs.

A blatant spin is designed to discredit an opponent or a viewpoint on an important matter. When a story or incident is spun, it accumulates ‘facts’ that are fabricated for a reason or to hide other facts that discredit another perspective given by someone else. Spinning does not follow the following rule “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”

Spinning may be done with politically correct wording, the use of inflammatory terms or derogatory in nature. Spinning words of the truth can be done in questions or statements. It can be facilitated to be used in either method. There is no attempt to tell the truth or correlate any facts to recognize a factual reality or attempt to make it so.

The sad news is that spinning the truth is an acceptable practice and has become the way press releases and other events are presented to the public as it normally fulfills their desire to know what happened but not the actual facts of the incident or event.

Apathy is the spinner’s best friend as it leaves nothing else to be questioned and gives an account that satisfies most and reduces the collateral damage of what could be a painful outcome. Pushing the truth into the shadows and the promotion of deception is common. It have become an acceptable way to lie to the people. It does not contain any truth and its true meaning as all have been altered to change the spotlight on the subject or matter discussed.

Prison Workers – Inside the Inner Sanctum

In my twenty five years of working inside the inner walls of those southwestern penitentiaries I could feel the presence of Satanism and Demonic rituals. Deep inside these darkened corridors filled with endless ribbons of steel rebar and tons of thickened extra strength concrete walls insulating the inside world with the outside world, I could hear silent shouts of “Hail Satan” as I walked my tour of duty day and night as well as holidays and weekends.

Whether through an unconscious assimilation or unexpected metaphorical transitional moments, I could feel the blazing hot touch of the hellish fires that surrounded me. I could feel the mechanics of the demonic rituals performed and danced around me whether in the darkened shadows or in plain sight where the participants were allowed to worship the Devil with the blessings of institutional chaplains and those civil rights and freedoms as they are written within our Constitution.

For the fear of exposing what I have felt, heard or even seen, I will not cover them in this article. The fact is that the less it is spoken of, the less this demonic influence is empowered into a forceful and powerful tool to be reckoned with inside this inner sanctum we call prison. I will however open up to the reader that the reluctance to accept and respond to such demonic powers is very difficult at certain times of your career and with it carries a strong possibility that within yourself these influences may culminate into an evil consequence for those too weak to resist the bad and give in to the good as they seek the powers of this so called black magic.

Being forewarned of this presence of evil, one’s ears and eyes must be attuned to find the magic that is usually hidden out of plain sight and often disguised as another form or matter. This magic is not elusive or secreted but it must be treated and recognized with a high expectation and respect as you might become persuaded or be inclined to join these voodoo ways.

More importantly, you must resist beliefs that this spell is good for you and if your approach to such supposed charmed but evil effects is unprepared and untaught of its effects you may fall victim to the spell and powers that surround you. Anyone working within the realm of the inner sanctum should take the time to learn how to deal and handle the ring of fire and black magic powers within the prison setting.

They must be properly trained, possess a tenacity to resist temptation and have enough patience to prevail any negative elements that may temporarily surround them and escape the wrath of this consummated evil with a determination to never surrender to the demonic powers or the Devil himself, Satan.

There are some general rules you must be aware of at the beginning of such challenge. Demons are individuals that come and go and do what they wish to do. They will bring an uneasy “chill” in the air as their produce an ambience that resembles hell’s fire but cold to the touch. Some manifest their shape shifting in low light produced by candlelight or low light conditions. Regardless of how they appear, do not show fear.

One can feel a quick puff of frigid air passing by their heated faces and sense the direction of the evilness as well as its presence. Together with such manifestations you will also feel different harmonic vibrations or sounds reverberating off the concrete walls as the temperature drops to a freezing point or go the other direction as you begin to sweat due to the blazing heat within the temple where these ceremonies are held. Thus this magic is real as tangible results are produced making you realize you have just entered hell.

Writing a Mood Diary - Keeping track of your inner self - without talking to anyone else about it

Reading the title of this article, the first thing that comes to your mind is why I should write a mood diary. It may follow up with the thought you don’t have any mood problems and am not suffering from any mood disorders. That may be true but the reason for keeping a mood diary is to help you and figure yourself out as you endure the daily stressors of life and your job as a correctional officer. It is a surefire way of keeping an inventory of your emotions and thoughts so that you can keep track of those things that bother you or make you happy or sad.

Law enforcement officers (LEO) rarely deal with their own emotions. Viewed as a weakness to seek help there are many obstacles to finding out how to manage yourself when under stress or anxiety caused situations. Asking for help is just not a reasonable option given to LEO officers and therefore rarely done to eliminate or diminish the need for exploring the feelings experienced.

Focusing on your moods is different from admitting you have a mood problem. It is nothing like you might think it is but when you write things down and keep an internal dialogue with yourself you may find out things about yourself that can make you better and calmer about how you do your job or handle your personal life. It solves two problems; you don’t have to open up to others and the only one that knows what you write down in the diary is yourself keeping it confidential and for your eyes only.

The diary is a means to identify your wants and needs. You can do this two ways – you can draw how you feel or you can write and articulate your emotions as you experience them in real time. You might be surprised how you would draw out what you are feeling as it helps to reveal how you feel inside your mind and heart rather than focusing on words. It gives you a real link to the reality and use your intuition to make things better for yourself.

There is no format or wrong way to write this journal or diary. It can be done in any format you wish to develop as long as it works best for you. You don’t have to worry about grammar or any other formal gestures or symbols but only how you feel and express yourself. Timing is everything to make it come together for you in an effective manner.

Try to write it or draw how you feel the same day or the next but never wait till you can’t remember how you felt at the time you were doing something or what you were thinking at the time. Try writing questions why you felt the way you did or why you thought the about the issue at hand that triggered your emotions.

Reflect as much as you can. Ask the who, what, when, where, why and how to answer your own questions. If you chose drawing instead of words let your imagery reflect how you expressed or felt that moment that symbolizes your mood at the moment. For example if you are angry draw something that reflects your anger and make it clear to yourself this represents your mood at the time.

Reflections should focus on how you are feeling at the moment. Has anything like this ever happened before that made me feel this way? Why do I feel this way and when did I feel this way in the past. Connecting the dots in your life helps you put together a reflection that can help you to deal with your emotions effectively and composedly.

Black Days – Sad Days – Gloomy Day

We have often blamed rainy days and melancholy days as a reason for being sad. But when you take a look at the sunny days you may find that you aren’t necessarily feeling any more cheerful or energized but there is something to be said about black and dark days compared to sunny days. Sunny days are overrated. Sufficient daylight or sunlight has not much of an impact on somebody that is experiencing excessive stress or anxiety in their lives.

Mood fluctuations and depression go hand in hand. Your life can take only so much of this depression within you before you do your body and your mind permanent harm as the stresses add up and become a way of life for you and impacting others. Another factor are the holidays that come around and make things even more depressing than before. Memories and remembrances come alive and those that have gone or passed on become a vivid picture inside your mind that struggles to keep it alive.

This may lead you to take on bad habits that may tend to hamper your ability to feel good or even a little bit better. People experiencing depression or sadness tend to sleep and eat more than before; they gain weight and become irritable at the slightest things. They either seclude themselves or experience feelings of rejection or over-sensitivity and see themselves as burdens to others or self.

Dark days or sad days can be managed more positively and should be noticed by family and friends as they are the makings of a depressed mood that may lead to self-harm or suicides. The symptoms are there for people to see and are not necessarily a cause due to a general medical condition however, since the person may be depressed, they may likely be ignoring their health needs and reluctance to seek any treatment that may be required.

Family and friends should be looking for numerous signs that may give indications of such sad feelings.  Remembering we are not talking about a general medical or psychological condition such as incongruent delusions or hallucinations. We are mainly referring to diminished interest or participating in activities that may be pleasurable or fun; either a significant weight loss or gain; insomnia or sleepless nights, fatigue or loss of energy and unexplainable feelings of guilt or indecisiveness in matters either personal or business.

Sadly these signs also include recurrent suicidal ideation without a specific plan, or a suicide attempt or a specific plan for committing suicide either by oneself or by cop. The problem is best described as a mood disorder or a general emotional state of a person whether or not he or she is in a good mood or a bad mood. Are they happy or sad and as we all know, a persons with such a disorder may feel these moods to an extreme and makes them have difficulties to cope and function in their daily life.
