Just yesterday, my eyes were closed
But today, my eyes are wide open
Since the rise of the morning sun
My eyes have discovered
The truth, the love and compassion
That had been hiding inside my soul
With the light of the evening moon
My mind had been opened
My legs now stable, can find the direction
And the ability to walk alone if need to be
Find the cause of my heart that now can see
Since the darkness has lifted and my mind is open
My ears and touch has been sharpened leaving the shadows
behind
I discovered my hands can touch, my ears can hear
The things that were so far away, are now so very near
Now that my mind no longer strays away
From the truth inside me, where my heart had been broken
My heart, my mind, my soul, all opened up for me to discover
That everything I see, feel or touch, has risen up beyond the
broken cross
My spirit cannot be broken, as no man can blind me ever
again
Since my life has just begun, and my mind has recovered my
memory loss
That gives me love from within and no words have been spoken
