Sitting on the beach

Sitting on the beach

The ride to the beach was uneventful and quiet, we knew the scorching sun would burn our skin
We drove for a short fifty miles to this part of the world where the sea gently kisses the sand and the ocean begins
Where the rocks are scattered, tossed around by the foamy waves of time and shaped from the pounding of the salt water over a long spell
Surrounded by coves, that are hidden from view unless you walk the beach for about a mile and know the area better than well

We passed the pleasures of other people sun bathing, surf board boogie boarding and volleyball in the water and sand
The seagulls flying low above, searching for morsels or food left behind by those who walk or sit as life delivers its demands
Under their shaded colorful parasols, rubbing oil and lotions to protect their skin, they have no care in the world for a moment in time that will become a memory to some
Their moods are light, the sunlight bright, as their eyes are shaded with their Oakley customs designed to keep the ultra violet rays away

There down the beach, there lies a cove, where sea lions love to roam and sit and sleep, there is the best place to nap or sleep
This often common discovery is no secret for those who sit and walk every day on this lazy beach as it is a private getaway
Close to hotels, resorts and some of the best bistros around, this beach has sporting events all year around, no nicer people here can ever be found,
For this beach is not private but it’s perfectly situated for me and you and anyone else who want to find some solace in their life
Whether you are from the country, the city, or another state, this is the place for you, where your love for the sea will never ever be deprived
